公元982年党项族大首领李继筠病逝后，党项族陷入了群龙无首之势，叛乱、战争、争权夺势。在这混乱的局势下，党项族长后裔元昊以他的大智大勇平息叛乱，剿灭各个权势将本来分散在我国西部地区的诸侯统一起来并于公元1038年建立了大夏国，定都兴庆府（今银川市）。 然而元昊野心勃勃，不甘心于向北宋、契丹伏首称臣，一直梦想马踏中原，称帝图皇，一次次发动对宋战争，致使田园荒芜、民不聊生、内外交困。 公元1048年正旦之日，沉积多年的种种矛盾终于爆发，太子持刀入宫杀死了元昊，而太子被国相处死，元昊的遗腹子谅祚却当上了西夏王朝的第二代皇帝…。« Le Mirage » is the perspective of a man in his thirties asking himself "what am I chasing?" Our society has become all about consumerism, if not excess. Success is determined by what and how much we have and "stuff" becomes the band-aid to a meaningless existence.
